Thief with cold feet almost robs Stoughton bank

Teller doesn’t take Stoughton robbery suspect seriously

Stoughton Police

STOUGHTON, Mass. — Rodney Dangerfield got a lot of laughs by complaining, “I can’t get no respect.”

A would-be bank robber in Stoughton knows the feeling, our news partners at the Enterprise reported.

On Friday afternoon, a man tried to rob a Randolph Saving Bank branch at 15 Pleasant St. by passing a teller a note.

Police said that when the teller didn’t take him seriously, he ran off.

The attempted holdup occurred at 5:45 p.m.

Anyone with information about the incident may call police at 781-344-2424.
