BOSTON —An MBTA Green Line trolley derailed and crashed into a wall injuring 10 near Fenway on Monday, officials said.

The trolley operator was among the 10 injured, according to Boston EMS.
All of the injuries were reported to be minor, but six patients were taken to Boston hospitals.
Twitter photos posted by the Boston Fire Department showed the front of the trolley flush against a pipe attached to the wall.
Some of those injured were on a second trolley that stopped quickly to avoid hitting the derailed train, the Boston Fire Department said.
The derailment happened in an area where the tracks for the D and C lines intersect. The cause is under investigation
Shuttle buses will replace Green Line D trains between Kenmore and Fenway and Green Line C Trains between Kenmore and St. Mary’s, Boston officials said.
