Boat runs aground near Lynch Park

Authorities ask public for help solving Andover double murder

Jack and Jeri Magee

ANDOVER, Mass —Two years after the bodies of Geraldine and John Magee were found in their Andover home, investigators are renewing the plea for information in the case.

The Magee’s Lexus SUV was found torched in Boston’s North End on Dec. 13, 2011. The couple’s daughter Holly found them shot to death in their Andover mansion the next day.

Jack Magee‘s death certificate shows the 69-year-old was shot in the head, neck and chest. His 67-year-old wife Jeri shot to the head.

The living room at 7 Orchard Crossing was a bloody and confounding scene, according to investigators. There were no signs of a break in, no fingerprints found and nothing was taken.

Both the Essex County district attorney and the Andover police chief said the case remains a top priority.

“We will continue to pursue every lead until we find the person or persons responsible for this tragic murder and seek justice for the Magee family in court,” Essex County District Attorney John Blodgett said.

“We continue to request that anyone with any information or possible information in this incident to come forward and contact one of the agencies involved,” Police Chief Patrick Keefe said.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Massachusetts State Police at 978-745-8908 or the Andover Police Anonymous Tip Line at 978-470-3864.
