WELLESLEY, Mass. —Wellesley Police are investigating an item found on campus at Babson College shortly after 7 a.m. Friday, our news partners at The Metrowest Daily News reported.
According to Police Chief Terrence Cunningham, a college maintenance person found a suspicious item on a walkway near the college’s learning center.
“They don’t know what it is,” Cunningham told the Townsman this morning, “It just looks suspicious.”
The area around the object has been cleared, but Cunningham said that there was no immediate threat to the campus or anyone there. “It’s something we should at least take a look at.”
At 7:45 a.m., Cunningham said Wellesley officers were awaiting the arrival of bomb technicians and a robot to further investigate.
