BOURNE, Mass. — Massachusetts State Police are investigating reports that an unknown projectile hit a vehicle in Bourne Tuesday evening.
MSP said the projectile hit the vehicle traveling west on Route 25 by the Bourne Bridge around 7 p.m.
The driver said she heard a loud crack when the projectile hit her vehicle and assumed it was a rock, MSP spokesman David Procopio said. Upon closer inspection, the driver said she realized it wasn’t a rock and notified state police about what happened on Wednesday.
Procopio said troopers are investigating areas off the highway where the driver said her vehicle was hit.
