BURLINGTON, Mass. —A water main break reported at the Burlington Mall created a sinkhole Thursday afternoon and caused the front end of a car to become stuck.
Officials representing the Burlington Mall said the water main break was reported in the parking lot by Sears. As a result, a large sinkhole formed and the front end of the vehicle became stuck and lifted the back of it into the air.
Officials said the mall closed early while emergency crews continued to investigate the incident.
No injuries have been reported.
