Lt. Manion is arrested for first degree premeditated murder when he killed the man that raped his wife. Lt. Frederick Manion is represented by Paul Biegler who does an amazing job putting his case together. His case isn’t easy, in fact it’s near impossible to win, but Biegler is determined to win even against the likes of a big city lawyer who is the Asst. State Atty. Gen. Claude Dancer. Biegler pulls out a win with a plea of temporary insanity plea. When it’s all said an done, the Manions pull up steaks and abandon the trailer park with no thoughts of returning.
