Seddon’s mother says cancer cells decreasing

Tyler Seddon, the brave 7-year-old boy battling leukemia for the second time, is almost in remission, according to his mother, Rachel.
In a Facebook post, Rachel Seddon-Dunn said Tyler’s leukemia cells have decreased from 5 percent to .03 percent, which means he’s nearly in remission.
“Tyler’s feeling great,” she wrote in the post.
In the post, Seddon-Dunn said Tyler is looking at two more cycles of chemotherapy and then he will be ready for a bone marrow transplant when a donor is found.

Seddon, who has leukemia, will celebrate his birthday on March 6, and his mother wants it to be the best day of his life.
“He goes crazy over firefighters and police,” Rachel Seddon said. “We want this to be a special birthday, because you never know what could be next.”
Seddon said Tyler wants as many of them as possible to send him birthday cards.
The plea, first reported by WCVB-TV on Monday, reached many New England law enforcement agencies, which are using Facebook to enlist first-responders to deliver cards in person next month.
Dozens of cards and donations totaling $10,000 have been received. The money will be used to offset medical bills.
Tyler needs a bone marrow transplant, and he is currently undergoing chemotherapy to buy him some time while the search for a marrow donor continues.
