Soraida Quinones faces several charges
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — A Springfield woman was arrested Monday night after police said they found cocaine hidden in a diaper bag that was in her vehicle.
A trooper on patrol on Carew Street stopped a Saab wagon for a motor vehicle violation, police said.
The Saab that was occupied by four people including a juvenile was operated by Soraida Quinones, 31.
A bag with a white powdery substance, believed to be cocaine, was located in a diaper bag within the passenger compartment, police said.
Quinones was arrested and charged with possession of a class B substance, receiving stolen property and operating after license suspension among other offenses.
Woman told church she needed gifts for her small children

WAREHAM, Mass. —A Wareham woman faces charges after lying to a church about needing holiday gifts for her children then trying to sell the donations, according to police.
Police say Kimberly Lawson, 44, of Gatehouse Drive in East Wareham, received several toys and household items from St. Vincent de Paul Church Charities in Sandwich after she lied about needing presents for her small children.
After getting the donations, she tried to sell them, police said.
Lawson also lied about not being able to pay her rent and was given financial assistance, police said.
Police seized six trash bags of items she falsely received from the charity. The items have been returned to the church to be given to families truly in need.
Lawson was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property. She will be arraigned Monday.
