BOSTON —Transit police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man accused of indecently assaulting a woman who was on a Green Line trolley Wednesday.

The victim said she was assaulted at about 8:50 a.m. as she rode the trolley from Government Center Station to Park Street Station.

The assailant is described as a white man who is about 40 to 50 years old. He was wearing a red knit winter hat, red jacket, jeans and dark gloves.

Thomas Burke, 57, of Roslindale, arrested

Teacher Assault 

BOSTON —A teacher’s aide at the Boston Community Leadership Academy was arrested Friday and charged with indecent assault and battery on a disabled person at the school.

Thomas Burke, 57, of Roslindale, had been “acting in an inappropriate manner with a student,” BCLA Headmaster Brett Dickens said in a statement to parents.

Burke had been employed by the Boston School Department since 1998.

“We have already reached out to this student’s family, as well as to other students who may have had any contact with this particular staff member,” interim Boston School Superintendent John McDonough said in a statement.

Dorchester man accused of meeting teen in online chat room

ARLINGTON, Mass. —A Dorchester man who police said met a middle-school student in an online chat room has been arrested on a charge of indecent assault and battery, Arlington Police said Thursday night.

Jose Alexis Rodriguez-Laboy, 35, is charged with meeting the 15-year-old online and then picking the student up at the Ottoson Middle School in Arlington Wednesday.

Rodriguez-Laboy then drove the teen to a location away from school grounds, police said.

The student, a 15-year-old girl, was returned to the middle school later in the day, Police Chief Fred Ryan told our news partners at Wicked Local/Arlington.

Rodriguez-Laboy was arrested at his Dorchester home and is scheduled to be arraigned Friday morning in Cambridge District Court.
