Robert W. Reynolds Jr. due in court Monday

FREETOWN, Mass. —A Freetown man allegedly assaulted his wife with a samurai sword before he was arrested by police who also found 139 grams of crack cocaine at his home, officials said.
Robert W. Reynolds, Jr., 33, was charged Saturday with trafficking more than 100 grams of crack cocaine, assault by means of a dangerous weapon, attempted murder and assault and battery, Freetown police said.
Police said they received a 911 call at 10:35 a.m. for a domestic dispute and then received a second call shortly before they entered the home stating that Reynolds was assaulting his wife with a samurai sword.
Reynolds also attempted to strangle his wife, police said, but she declined medical attention.
Police also seized 139 grams of cocaine packaged in several bags along with $1,400 in cash.
Reynolds is set to appear in court on Monday.
