MERRIMACK, N.H. — Merrimack police arrested 29-year-old Casey Hobbs Lever Friday on charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated and four counts of endangering welfare of a child.
Authorities said they received a report of an intoxicated person leaving a local business with a child. Officers found Lever driving on Twin Bridge Road with her 5-year-old daughter.
Lever was taken into custody for operating under the influence of liquor or drugs. Her daughter was taken to the station and later released to her father.
Police said Lever had been working at a local child care center, but asked to leave due to her sobriety. Officials said she was tasked to care for three infants at the center. The child care center is cooperating with authorities, police said, and the infants’ parents were notified.
Lever is held on $1,500 cash bail. She will be arraigned Monday.
