Driver sustains facial injuries on Interstate 93

Massachusetts State Police
WILMINGTON, Mass. — A driver on Interstate 93 in Wilmington escaped serious injury Friday morning when a so-far-unidentified object flew into the windshield of their car.
Massachusetts State Police called the strange-looking object “road debris,” and posted pictures of it to its Twitter feed, leading to online speculation that it might be a highway pavement marker.
The driver was reported to have sustained facial injuries.
A spokeswoman for MassDOT said they were investigating the incident.
