A body all tattered and torn
With some scars that may not always be visible
Those that you don’t see usually hurt the most
Most often those scars don’t heal unless you want them to
But keep your mind working to push out the bad memories
Deal with the pain so that there is room enough for the good memories
Don’t let your scars become your new skin
Peel them back and step out all anew
Like a brand new face in the crowd
Leaving those deadly scars behind
