Two injured after 2-alarm fire in South Boston

 A 2-alarm fire broke out at an apartment building in South Boston Wednesday afternoon.
Firefighters responded to the 4-story building at 52 Thomas Park at around 4:23 p.m.

Fire was reported on the rear porches on the third and fourth floors.

One resident was treated and transported by Boston EMS to Mass. General Hospital with burns. A firefighter was also injured and transported with a shoulder injury. Their injuries are not life-threatening.

The Boston Fire Department is reporting that the fire is now out.

A total of five people and one dog have been displaced from the three apartments and all have a place to stay.

Fire officials are estimating the damage at $600,000.
