CARVER, Mass. —Police made an arrest Thursday in a theft at a Dunkin Donuts store in Carver.
Authorities with the Carver Police Department said the theft happened early Wednesday morning when a drive-through window was smashed and a cash box stolen.
Investigators said a green Subara Impreza was being sought in connection with the case, and a vehicle matching the description was seen Thursday afternoon.
Officials said there was a chase that ended when the motorist abandoned the vehicle in Middleboro.
A search began, and a Middleboro K-9 unit captured Anthony Miranda, 42, of Middleboro. Miranda was arrested and faces numerous charges, including breaking and entering and larceny.
Bail was set at $25,000, and Miranda is expected in court Friday. He was transported to Jordan Hospital with a dog bite to the leg.
Miranda is not a suspect in the robberies of more than 20 Dunkin Donuts stores over the past year. Officials said the Carver case was an isolated incident.
