Archives For Hopes

I have a vision for tomorrow …

I have a vision for tomorrow that doesn’t include violence.
It doesn’t include intimidation or a culture of brainwashing.
My vision is for individualism and free thinking people who don’t have or need to follow the destructive decisions of a smaller majority of unhappy people.
I choose to stand proud and do things that will be remembered for the good they were meant to do.
Those who bore me and those who look up to me will see the good and forgive any imperfections.
I wish to prove that good choices and good actions will be followed and will wipe out all the bad choices of others.
When I open my eyes I will see good in all people and will no longer be sad.
I have a vision….

Always there when you need me

I shed a tear
I open my heart
I listen to your pain
I’m there to support you

You can count on me
You know I’ll never leave
You know we’re one in the same

You shiver
I bring you warmth

You are fearful
I bring you peace of mind

You want to give up
I give you reason to go on

You feel crushed
I pick up the pieces

You’ve turned a corner
I’m there to greet you

You finally choose to live
I’m there beside you

Carry on as the you I’m proud to know you

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Each of us bound to the life that’s been chosen for us

Our fate is marked when we take our first breath

We are all innocent when first we arrive

We must be careful when choosing which road to take

All that we see may not be as it seems

Choices must be made with care

For they will determine  which road you will take

Opinions can’t be made solely on what is seen

We will have to live up to expectations of all those watching over us

Our schooling will prepare us for the career we hope to obtain

Our religion or beliefs will guide us morally

Love and friendship will handle the rest

As long as you stay true to who and what you want to be

Life should go your way

Nothing will come easy

Hard work reaps reward

Be thankful and grateful for each day

Show compassion and understanding to those who struggle

Struggle to find their way as you have found yours

Carry on as the you I’m proud to know you

The Late Great John F Kennedy

Was shot on November 22, 1963

I was just 7 and a half months old

Too young to understand what everyone else was feeling

I know that my mother was working

She started off on her feet

But when the news was shared

She dropped to her knees

The tears streaming down her tired face

She wasn’t thinking

Stripped of thought

She went running

Home to us, her children

She held each one of us

One by one

Its been said that she was singing

A song that no one knew

It had not been heard before

She gathered us up and took us

She took us to the Boston Common

Where many others stood about

About in a daze

Everyone, singing, sobbing and soothing

All those that stood about

At some point everyone started to dispurse and

Return home or back to wherever they had come

But hours, days, weeks months and years went by

And no one ever understood why

Why anyone would want to harm such a good guy

John F Kennedy was such an honorable man

He was the best President we had ever had

How were people to go on without being able to understand

The Why or the how

Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested for JFK’s murder

Some still say that he wasn’t the one

People are still trying to figure out who really took the life of such a great man

If in fact it wasn’t Lee Harvey Oswald

No one has forgotten

No one could ever forget

One of the greatest men to have ever lived

His family still stands strong

Honoring his memory with all those both near and far

Take a moment to remember a man

Who gave his life for this great country of ours

He like many others fought a thankless fight

All so that we the people could live on with freedom and in peace

Our love is never ending for John F Kennedy

Angel on my shoulder

There is an angel on my shoulder

She tells me that all is OK

I’m hurting deep inside

With choices to be made

I thought I knew where I was going

How things would end up

But my road to happiness isn’t now so certain

I have much to reconsider

But with an angel on my shoulder

I know I have a chance

A chance to still know happiness

The way I hoped it would be

I have to keep an open mind

Remembering all that I have

Remembering all that I’ve worked for

I know there still time to find my way back

Even if I have to change course

I still come out OK

I owe much thanks to the angel on my shoulder

For making me see

With my eyes wide open

There is still hope for you and me

Eyes as full as the ocean

Don’t close your eyes to the pain

A heart of gold

Let your heart heal the wounded

A soul like no other

Let your soul guide you through

You are open to forgiveness

Traveling through time

Lifetimes over

Nothing has changed

We see the same loss

We know the same devastation

There are some who are forgiving

But more that are unforgiving

We live in the land of hope

But you only have hope

If you feel hope

You have to want things to be

To Be different than they were

Every time before

In centuries past

In centuries ahead

Make the change

To begin again

To give our children

and their children

The chance to carry on

To become the things

We could never be

To do the things that we could never do

Through these eyes as full as the ocean

I can see all there is

and all there was

and this time

I want things to be different

Take away the storms that kill

Take away the guns that end lives

Take away the words that send young ones to their deaths

Take away the racism that separate the people

Take away the poverty that leaves those begging

Take away the shame that keep people hidden

Give everyone Eyes as Full as the Ocean

Never Done

Blessed with a child, often more than one
Our Job is never done
We make sure they never go hungry
That they are always clothed
That they get the best education possible
That they get to be a child for as long as they may
That they fulfill as many of their dreams as possible
That they hold a smile upon their face instead of a frown
That they learn to fight life’s battles

Always let them know that you love them
And life may be hard but all the pain ends up being worth it
Just hang in there and that rewards always come to those that are deserving

Always know that a parents job is “Never Done”.

In the darkness of the light

I thought I saw a light at the end of the tunnel

I’m working hard to fight my way through it all

So many obstacles in my way

A Dictatorship

So many have fought for our freedom

But yet we still seem to be imprisoned by the ignorance of man himself

Forever trapped in his own demise

Someday when his eyes are opened he can help me find my way out

Out of the darkness of the light

darkness into light
