Body found behind Coakley Middle School
NORWOOD, Mass. — A neighbor walking a dog found a body in the woods behind the Coakley Middle School in Norwood Wednesday afternoon.
The victim, who had suffered severe trauma, may have been killed elsewhere and there was likely no connection to the school, Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey said.
State police detectives joined Norwood police officers investigating the death. The victim was believed to be a man.
Authorities have called crime scene investigators and other experts to the site.
School will be held at the Coakley Middle School Thursday, officials said.
